What do you guys recommend for a quality scope at a decent price for a muzzle loader? Looking for a 2-7 or 3-9.

-thanks

I shoot what I consider long range with my custom 40 caliber smokeless MZ 250 yards is not an overly difficult shot. I have a leupold 1-12 with a M1 turret on top

i have 3x9 tc hawkin scope on my ML, but if i were looking for a nice scope for a good price i would get a Nitrex Tr1 scope from NatchezSS on clearance. i have one in 3-10 and it is super clear, definitly a nice scope for the money.

I have a Leupold Ultimate Slam 3x9-40mm muzzleloader scope on my TC Prohunter. If your looking for a great scope in the $250 range this would be it.

I run a Burris Fullfield II 3x9x40 on my Thompson Omega .Gathers plenty of light at early and last light and has plenty of eye relief for heavy loads . I like it a lot better than the Nikon Omega muzzleloader scope 3x9x40 that I originally put on it . The Burris is much better in low light conditions . My Nikon is a nice scope in decent light but I don't like it at at all in low light . The Burris is very reasonable in price .

I run a Nikon Buckmasters 4x-12x-50mm side focus heavy duplex. Plenty of light, power to use for a spotter if need be, nice heavy duplex. I normally keep it on 4x, but have found it handy to have the extra power to spot for distant limbs and obstructions.

I'm very content with the Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40 on my Encore. I've used it for about five years now without a hitch. I found it superior to a Leupold Vari-x II in the near dark (moonlight hog hunting).

I just bought a Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32 for a Contender Carbine in .30-30 AI. I am amazed at how much better it is that the old model. It has better specs that the current Buckmasters. It would be a good fit on a muzzleloader. Matter of fact, next season my back up muzzleloader will be wearing one. About $152 OTD.
