My family could use some prayers

As an 18 year Law Enforcement veteran, I have seen alot of things and done alot of things that most people cant understand or even imagine what its like. You see these things and you deal with them, but you never really think or believe it can happen to you. Today, tradgedy struck home for my family. I relate the following with a very heavy heart.

My little sister was in an abusive relationship for the last several years (not married). I tried many times, as did the rest of my family, to convince her to get out. Unfortunately, she waited too long because she was murdered by him last night. He was arrested today and her body was found on the scene. Unfortunately for my family, this piece of garbage survived his encounter with my compadres adding insult to injury since my family will most likely endure a long drawn out legal process. Its one thing to lose someone you love to a tradgedy but its quite another when a loved one meets a violent death. Please pray for my sister and my family in this very devastating time.
 
How terrible. Why is that the innocent so often have to pay the ultimate price?

Rest assured, she is in a better place now.

I will pray for you and your family for the strength they will need in the future dealing with this tradegy.

man thats so sad, your family will be in our thoughts.

Im glad they caught the guy and his sentance will never be hash enough for the crimes he commited against your sister and your family.

My wifes ex husband tried to kill her and even though I was not with her at the time, I live with her horrors every day.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Still hasnt quite hit me yet. I have been running on "taking care of business mode" since I found out what happened. The folks that work or have worked in the Law Enforcement business probably know exactly what I mean. Too much nasty business that needs to be taken care of that I dont want my parents exposed to. I will have time later to worry about myself. I thought I would post some links if anyone is interested in following the story. The suspect was charged with (1)First Degree Murder, (2) Kidnapping and (3) Commiting a Murder during a Kidnapping. The case will most likely be a Capital Case and I am hoping they seek the Death Penelty. Thanks again for your kind words and prayers.
