Hey all,
I know this isn't the typical "coyote rig" that we normally post up about, but I'm pretty excited about it so I thought I'd share. This is my new 6.5x47 Lapua that I got this week. It's built on a Stiller action with a 27" Bartlien barrel thats been Carbon wrapped by ABS. It's sittin in a AICS with a Atlas bipod and a NightForce 5.5-22x56 scope.
Well I got the rifle in late last week, but didnt have my scope yet. I bought the scope used off a guy from Dallas. I drove down there today and met up with him to pick it up. I was excited to get back home and mount it on the rifle. Well I got it all mounted up and laser bore sighted it. There was still about 15 min of decent light left so I said what the heck and decided to shoot a couple rounds. Keep in mind I've never fired this rifle before now. I laid down and fired the first shot and it was 2" high and 2" left. I made my adjustments and fired again. Well I forgot that I was dialing mils instead of MOA so I was a little off on my adjustments. So, I corrected and fired a third shot. It was right in the bullzeye! So I loaded 3 more rounds and decided I'd shoot for a group. The light was all but gone, but I could still make out the 1" red dot at 100yds. I fired 3 rounds not really being able to tell where there were hitting since the light was so low. Well it looks like shots 4, 5, & 6 turned out pretty good! I was happy as could be when I went and picked up the target and seen the good group. So, I fired this rifle a total of 6 times since I've owned it and shot group in the .2's!! I think it's gonna be really great for the tactical comps that I'm wanting to shoot in.
If anybody is curious, I'm shooting Lapua brass, 37.5gr of Varget, CCI 450's and Berger 130VLD's.
Here's a couple pics.
Thanks,
