My new Vanguard s2 rifle

I finally got my new Weatherby Vanguard S2 in 22-250. I took it to the range 7 shots to sight in. Then the following shots at 100 yards were 2 shot groups. The first one measured at 1/2 inch, off of bags. Then the next two groups measured under 1/2 inch.
It has a very good 2 stage trigger! And the stock is nice. I have a nikon Monarch mounted on it. And am now looking to buy one of these or a savage model 111 fcns in 270.

I was sighting in with winchester gray box 55 soft point! my last 4 shots were with Hornady superformance 50 grain v-max. The winchesters did a half inch at 100. And the hornady's were about 3/8 inch. I am very happy with this rifle.

I can't wait to see how it will shoot after 100 rounds and a fully broken in barrel. Dave

Shooting 3/8" now it will be a bughole gun when the rifling gets smoothed out.

They do garantee MOA with this new rifle, and with the smaller calibers it is probably more accurate because of little recoil. Dave
