I purchased this last week it is a Steyr Mannlicher SL in 222 magnum. This gun was made in 1967 it has the optional single two stage trigger which is amazing. Overall I could not be happier I love the caliber and to me this is the holy grail of the production 222 magnums of the past. The magazines are great a rotary design and how smooth the action is and how easy feeding it is shows the craftsmanship that went into this gun.As well is is a great shooter from the little I have seen I used the load I had worked up for my Rem. 722 and managed a couple 1/2" groups all in all a great firearm and proud to have it in my collection! It has a few handling marks but overall in great condition for the age. Bluing is not even wore off the crown so it has shot very little and the bore and chamber are in incredible shape. I love the hammer forged barrel ! lol

Excellent find! I too am a fan of the .222 Mag as it is the ballistic twin of the .223 Ackley and I know what it will do. I think that you have really got something there myself. A real beauty when old world craftsmanship was still to be had.

Great buy on the 222 Mag.
I've never seen a Steyr in 222 Mag. It has to be one of the most desireable 222 Mag's out there. I LOVE those German two stage triggers, and think they are the best triggers made anywhere.
Kudos on the snag, and have a blast shooting it.
I have two Remington Model 722's in 222 Mag, and spent most of last summer testing loads for them mainly using TAC powder, as well a couple of other powders. I only shot 50 and 52 gn bullets. Some of the groups were amazing.
Will you be reloading for your 222 Mag?

Have fun with your new rifle.
