In August, I purchased a NADY 151VR-LT from Beach Audio in California to outfit my Prey Master and make it wireless. A word of caution: This NADY unit is garbage. More importantly, Beach Audio has refused to exchange or refund my money for the unit citing a return policy hidden on their website that they purposefully do not print on their packing slips or receipts. I've never been to their site; I ordered my unit through Amazon.com.)
The sound quality of this unit is horrendous. Scratchy and distorted with a range of less than fifty feet line of sight. The female plug jack on the transmitter is faulty and causes the signal between the Prey Master control unit and the transmitter to fade in and out, as well as out and out cut out while in use.
Beach Audio advertises that they sell only factory new merchandise, but this unit had clearly been mishandled whether in manufacturing or by a previous owner and was sold new even though it was used or factory refurbished. The "level" adjustment screw on the transmitter - presumably used to adjust the transmitter output level - was inserted crooked and cross threaded so that the adjustment was unusable. I have no idea if adjusting the output would resolve my problems with the unit since it was broken when I received it.
Beach Audio, again, has refused to deal with me on this unit. I have sent NADY an e-mail to see if they will make good on an otherwise bad deal but I suspect the best they will do is offer repairs at my expense. I don't see the sense of throwing good money behind bad for a unit that has seen less than three minutes total field use time.
My advice to you, based upon my mistake, is if you work hard for your money, look at someone besides Beach Audio as a parts supplier, and consider something besides a NADY.
