NcSTAR SCOPES

i have one on my 22-250 and so far has held zero and isnt that bad of a scope for the money. i bought it at a gun show when a bought the rifle for a temperary until i get the funds for a higher power scope. ill probably put it on my 30-06 after i change out scopes. that will tell if it will hold up.

I bought one about a year ago for $130 it is a 10-40x60 with illuminated reticle. I was very disappointed with it at first because it cant focus past 14 power. After I got over that I would have to say that it is a great beater of a scope when used from 10-14 power and it has taken a lot of meat and fur on top of my .22 mag and my .223. But I would not recommend buying one to anyone. Just save up and buy something that you know has a good name and rep.

I put one on my AR. The built in lens cover broke off about day 3. The edges are fuzzy to me. I have the illuminated reticle model, the best part about the scope was all the batteries the seller gave me with it.

Personally, I would go with BSA before I ever did another NcStar scope. YMMV

I have a 3-9x42 illuminated reticle (item #SEC3942R) mounted on a ar carbine. The reticle is even a Mil-Dot. It's only had 2 shooting sessions. Seems to be holding zero. Light weight, compact, bright and clear (focus fades at the edges). The switch for the IR is finicky. But, hasn't failed. So far, so good. For $50 I think it's a pretty good deal. I bought it because I changed the gun to a flat-top and needed some way to sight it. Bought the NcStar as a cheap "get me buy sighting system". It will stay this way for a while 'cause so far I like it just fine. And, my son thinks it's pretty cool. And, I will do most any thing to keep him shootin'. He's 14, getting interested in other things and I don't want him to loose interest in hunting and shooting.

I don't have any NC scopes. I have read of quite a few un-satisfied buyers of NC,Leapers scopes.

I do have a couple Simmons Whitetail Classic 6.5x20x50 scopes. There still made in the Philippines. SWFA and Midway carry them. There about the best glass you'll get for $110.00 in high magnafication.

I hear alot of good reviews on Mueller 8.5x25x44 scopes also. Muellers customer service if needed seems to be very good from what I've read.

i bought one 2 years ago at a show and stuck it on my 204. holds zero fine and is nice and clear. only problem is the illumination is too bright for nite hunting. i dont know if id put one on anything bigger than maybe a 22-250.
