Neck sizing 22-250 AI cases

Can these cases be neck sized with standard 22-250 neck sizing die? If not, is it possible to neck size AI cases; are dies made for neck sizing AI brass?

No, the shoulder is blown out to a larger diameter.

Without looking, I'm sure they do.

FWIW, I prefer to full length size every time for a hunting gun.

You can buy neck sizing dies for the 22-250 AI. They work well, and will prolong the life of your cases.
 
I guess I need to go look in the shop but...
Im pretty sure I neck size all my 22-250AI brass with my old LEE 22-250 die. I just cant FS them.

Perhaps Im losing it though.

I have a 22 cal neck sizing die from Hornady I bought several years ago. It works for .221 up thru my 22-250 AI. They' re 30 bucks now...mine cost me 12.

Hornady makes these for about any caliber and they work fine for standard or AI'ed cases...

No way

I looked again last time I was out in the shed, sure enough regular 22-250 collet die. I believe you fellas are think about the full length dies, those you need the correct AI die to fl size with. But to just necksize the parent die works just fine.

Thanks for help! Not long after I posted this questions, I decided to find out if neck sizing dies are made for AI cases and sure enough they are. I should have checked before I posted...

Thanks again for the information regarding the use of standard neck sizing dies as well as the availability of AI dies.
