need some feedback on the remington/spartan combo gun. i am considering the 223/12ga. i like the double triggers in case they come on fast or just hang out there. thanks

The Spartan line is imported from Russia which is/was sold globally under the Baikal brand line. It had been inported by EAA and sold under this logo here too. This is one of the arsenals that made tens of millions of AK-47's that were used around the world. I own a few Baikal items an all work well. Maybe fit and finish has a little to be desired, but funtion is 100%. The Russian bluing process is like other soviet pieces...more brown than black.

Like any other O/U they are available with single or double triggers. The single trigger will reset itself as fast as you can pull it. It is faster than any semi-auto shotgun I have ever fired.

If you look around the only bad things you'll hear is fit and finish. It took nearly 2000 rounds for my shotguns to start to break in so that they opened easily...they are tight and function is 100%.

I have the Baikal IZH-94 in 30-06/12 ga, which I purchased mainly because of the Predator Masters article on this gun.

I love the gun, it is a workhorse and my go to gun from most applications. Also, I have turkey and rifled screw in chokes, this past year I took a 30 lb tom at 50-55 yards... These after market chokes from Colonial, I believe really round out the gun.

I am looking at the 223/12 ga as an addition, these guns are not collector pieces they just keep working.

You should look for a Baikal IZH-94 also you might find a better deal...

Also, I am double huge double trigger fan, in that I can quickly and easily choose the correct barrel to shoot.
