Need help with information about a bass lure.

I bought this bass lure several years ago at a garage sell bc I thought it looked neat. I have looked all over the internet and can not find any information about it as to whether it may be collectable or worth something to somebody. As far as I can tell the company is no longer in business but from the very little information I can find I cant really tell anything other than that. It is still in its original packaging and appears to be somewhat old. The lure is called The Original Little Ducky Duddle made by Decoy Lures out of Oberlin, Ohio. It is a top water weedless lure that the main body actually looks like a duck and appears to be carved out of wood or some sort of plastic molding. It has two treble hook that drop down below it and are covered with some white strings crap like you would find on a spinner bait. I will try to get some pictures posted as soon as possible. If anyone has any information or could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Josh

I collect vintage fly fishing stuff and reels.

I have some collector books that might have that lure in it.

A couple of them cover conventional lures as well as fly stuff.

They are packed away but I could dig them up and see what I find

I'll get back to you on it as I have to dig around to find them.

You might have a valuable lure there?

That would be great. That would be nice for it to be valuable but I would think if it was, there would be a little more information about it somewhere on the net. I just bought it bc it looked neat and never had intention on using it. I sure would appreciate the help. Thanks, Josh

Hello, I was able to find out the trademark for this lure was applied for on August 9, 1996 and apparently abandoned by August 25, 1998 by a guy in Alberta Canada.
Hope this helps

Everything I can find says this lure was made in Oberlin, Ohio. The package also says manufactured by HY-TECH Products Company out of Elyria, Ohio. But the actual company that sold the lure is called Decoy Lures. Could you point me in the direction of where you found your information? Thanks, Josh

No prob and glad to help. Nothing in my books about it. I would google.antique lure collector sites, find one and email a pic and description of the lure with package and see what they say. The fact that no info comes up on searches is more intriguing. You might possess the last or only remaining example of the lure in existance? Defintely needs some investigating.

DeZyner Baits

If you look at the last line there, "Added 12-Mar-2003 DeZyner Baits" You have a possible successor, to the original company. If you Google them, they come up in Santa Clarita, CA however they have no website!
