These are the three I found.

Anyone used any of these.
The all seem to be over priced at $400.00

X-TREME Shooting, Huber Concepts or David Tubb.

I think Brad is running 16 and 16 on his latest. I am planning a 2 stage experiment for my hunting rifle. I like my bench guns at 6-8oz...

My last three have been 12oz/12oz. My first one is 16/16

Well after seeing some of beloved Jewell not work under extreme conditions, I wanted to try a different trigger
I called Huber to order a single stage. After spending time talking to John Huber, and at his suggestion, I ordered a single stage and two stage. He told me that I could return one and change it out for the system I prefer.

Now I'll, be the first admit, at that point I thought two stage triggers were the dumbest things ever invented. But I really think getting one in single snd one in two stage help change my mind. The first "stage" is just a little springy pre travel and then bam, you hit the wall. The next movement it breaks. No surprises, you determine when it breaks. You don't like the shot, just let up and you can go back at it.

One thing I've had Huber do is to shorten the length of the first stage and I like that a lot.

After further research the Huber Concepts trigger is out the competition.

Anyone have any info on the X-TREME Shooting or David Tubb triggers

I've got 2 of the Tubb Triggers and love them, they are as good as it gets for a 700.

I run them both at about 2lbs total. and about a 16/16 split, or as close as I can measure anyway.

They are very consistent, smooth, and tunable to just the way you like it.

I ended up finally going to them after having a Timney give me an AD during a match early on this year (wouldn't fire after repeated attempts and racking the bolt, then when I tried to put it on safe, it fired).

I've also been behind rifles with the Huber and the Xtreme and I have no complaints about either of them really, just went with the Tubb on mine after firing a friends rifle with one and it was just perfect to me, nothing I could really put my finger on for a specific tangible thing about it over the others though other than having fired them long before I had tried a tubb. When I tried the tubb I knew I liked it and it would do what I needed, so no need for more research at the time.

Apparently Trigger Tech will be making 2 stage Rem 700 triggers in the future. Their single stage has received good reviews and only costs $90. Hopefully the 2 stage will be less expensive as well.

What research has led you to this conclusion?
