Need some help for a .223 scope

I am picking up a new .223 next week and I was thinking about putting a Meuller 4.5-15X scope on it. What do you say, YEA or NAY..

What is the make of the .223 (not that it makes much difference), but what kind of distance shooting is your primary concern?

Its a Remington 700.. Most shooting will be 300 yards or less..

Is it a light and nimble rifle or a heavy not so nimble rifle? I think that should guide your scope choice.

most of the scopes i own cost close if not more than the rifle. always splurge on optics. u can't hit what u can't see! sometimes stuff costs more for a reason.

I'd have to say that if you are gonna be shootin 200 yds and beyond, that Mueller you spoke about is a minimum in magnification on the top end. I suppose you could hit your target with less, but your POI may be something other than you intended. Kinda depends if you are an accuracy nut like me. Like the man said, you can't hit what you can't see.

I use a 6X18X40 Bushnel on my 223. Works great! Never had any problems with it. Glass is clear as well.
