need some help on lip squeaking

Does anyone have any suggestions,ideas methods etc on how to learn to lip squeak.I ordered a killer call last year from rich cronk(love the call by the way)and it came with an instructional tape.Rich explains a little about how to lip squeak and he demonstrates it on the tape.It sounds real good but I can not for the life of me do it.I can if I kiss the back of my hand but I wear lightweight gloves and that means more movement having to kiss the back of your hand and I was wanting to learn to do it with my lips only.My lips are sore from trying and still not getting anywhere.I think this would be a handy trick to add to the bag.I've had several stands where I could have used it but didnt know how.I tried the diaghpram call but I have to take it out when I blow my open reed calls and that means more movement.I think I would begin alot of my stands with this if I could do it.I did a search on here on lip squeaks but didnt find anything.I thought I remembered some threads on this a while back but couldnt find them.Thanks,Kelly
 
If you can't squeeck yourl ips you could get a squeeky out of a pet toy. They even make ones that attach to your gun. Or get a coaxer call.
 
west tn coyote hunter....kissing sounds are one thing and a lip squeak is another, two different sounds. Curl your lips under your teeth on one side of your mouth and suck in air between your teeth. Practice and the sound well come, it's a killer sound for those who know how to do it.
 
BillyTheKid,thats kinda what I thought because rich cronks lip squeak doesnt sound like a kissing sound.Thats what I wanted to know,I can make the kissing sound but not the squeak like rich.The sound that rich makes sounds good and he can get very loud with it.Thanks,i was wandering how you did your lips,i've been trying everyway i could think of and couldnt do it.I'll try that for a day or two and see what i can do.Thanks again,Kelly

There's a guy from Medina that I hunt with that can get LOUD with a lip squeak. I've tried & tried & I'm still trying to learn how he does it but I am not having any luck either.

We need to get together for a hunt, I can bring him along for a demonstration!!!! You could put him down there in the big timber outside of Mason Hall, I'm sure the bobcats would love him.
 
Don't give up guys, it well come. Rich learned from the same guy I did, Murry Burnham. Richs lesson was in person, mine was by reading lol.
Remember, suck in air on just "one side" of your mouth, bring your lips over your teeth. It's hard to explane, maybe someone out there can say it better.

Just keep on trying, it is like learning to whistle but different. Murray Burnham showed me how to do it back sometime in the '60s and I nearly drove my wife crazy trying to do it.

As Murray told me, the first thing to do is dry up your mouth by sucking on your mouth and swallowing your spit. Then, as BillytheKid said, pull your lips tight into your teeth. Kind of a reverse pucker. After pulling your lips slightly inside your teeth, suck in. Try to confine the air coming into your mouth to a small area. By fooling with it you will at some point begin to get a sqeak. That is the beginning and will get better with practice. After you can make this sqeak, then put your hand over your mouth, putting pressure on the top of your hand along your upper lip just below your nose and creating a chamber over your mouth. By varying the pressure you apply to your lips you can find the right location to enhance the sound. This will amplify the sqeak and make it much louder.

Make up your mind that you are going to learn to do and sooner or later you will. I have found it to be an effective sound, especially when an animal hangs up. If anything will move him, this usually will. If it doesn't see if you have a shot cause that's about all that is left.

I'll be interested to see how this comes out: will you learn to lip sqeak before your wife kills you. Good luck.
