need some help with firestorm

I just bought a firestorm brand new, used it and I like the way it sounds and all the features, but it really seems to go through the batteries, is this normal??? When I play the for about a half hour going from lound to low and switching calls then move to a different stand and start calling on loud it will just stop calling and then I have to walk out there and I notice the green light is on, then I can turn it off and on and continue calling at a lower volume. I am not sure if this is because I am playing it on high to much or what. Do I need to get the foxpro batteries? not sure whats going on.
 
EJ, are you using rechargables? I use SANYO Eneloops 2500mahs in my callers and get very good results...of course your milage my vary..
 
no I havent been I just bought the caller but I was thinkin either to buy the recharchables or I am going to get the 12volt pack. I am going to call foxpro tomorrow to find out whats going on.
 
I had that same problem with mine to. I switched to the rechargable ones that all pred calls sales and dont have anymore problems.
 
I thought i had a deffective one at first but when i talked to the guys at All Predator Calls they assured me that was the problem 99% of the time.
