Fellow hunters. Please be advised that the Nevada Department of Wildlife sub committee on emerging technologies has passed a resolution to recommend to the main wildlife Commission to ban all possession and hunting of all thermal and night vision devices from July 31st to Dec 31st of each year including banning for use on all predators. Bobcat, fox, and coyotes included.
We need to be vigilant and make sure that those of us that hunt in Nevada appear and submit public comment at the main wildlife commission meeting when they hear this agenda item.. likely in June of this year. Please reach out to me for more info. Thanks

Got a link to the legislation details???

Just saw California fish and game is considering banning coyote hunting altogether. Lots of predator lovers out there.

Headed out there in September. No Bueno. Send a link. I’ll check in with Howl for wildlife too and see if they’re aware.

It doesn't sound like they are anti predators, if they were the ban would have started when pups are dropped. It sounds like they don't want night hunting while big game seasons are open. Archery seasons open in Sept and pretty much everything is done by the end of Dec.

WA doesn't allow night hunting if there is a big game season in progress.

Only not allowed during modern firearm deer / elk in washington.

That being said, i fully expect it to be banned entirely before long with the way things are trending here. Thats why i just cant bring myself to spend money on thermal stuff

Yes. you give them an inch next year they want a mile. For example, they passed a regulation two years ago to prohibit thermal use when hunting big game.. now they are trying to expand that and ban it even if you aren't hunting big game.
