never seen anything like this (crosshairs)

been dinkering with rifles for 65 years and this stumped me. ArmSports 4x32 scope looks very normal until you look at the cross hairs compared to the turrets. that's when you see that the crosshairs are exactly 45* off forming a perfect x in the scope. don't know if the guy who put the crosshairs in was inexperienced or it was his last day before quitting.
the odd thing is the scope still works, you can adjust the crosshairs. it does freak people out when you hand it to them to shoot the rifle.

I don't think that's by design... The reticle has rotated 90-degrees inside the erector assembly... but the adjustments still push the assembly up/down/left/right... but it's still broke.

Maybe it is for a Win 94 to get the windage turret clear from the ejected brass. My nephew turned a scope 90 degrees to do that.

Interesting I did have a scope that sounded like maraca but it didn't work.

I've seen a couple, neither where mine. It happens on junk scopes like the rifle /scope combos that the box stores sell. Friend had one do the crosshair rotation in less that 6 months from new.
