Just got my hands on the new AGM Varmint V2 LRF 50-640 – 1st night I zeroed it then found some pigs to stalk. The 2 nights I hunted coyotes was hot, humid and rainy, the video does not do the optic justice.

Sometimes the best way to beat the storm is to keep moving. It was a rainy night, as we attempted to move south to avoid the approaching storms from the northwest. It was after 3 AM, and we were getting peppered with rain as we dispatched the last coyote. The radar showed a grim picture, indicating little chance of escaping the clusters of green, yellow, and red swirling overhead. Despite the conditions, the X24 cut through the humidity and mist putting multiple coyotes in the viewfinder.

The following night, went out with some other buddies to make some stands. I called in coyotes on every stand except one. Some hung up at a distance and shot where they stood, while others came in slowly. The last coyote worked back and forth trying to get downwind, yet unwilling to cross a two-track road. I played a rainbow of sounds from weeks-old pup distress to submissive whines, simultaneously challenging another coyote in the distance. Finally, Brandon and I finally double-tapped her at the 36-minute mark.
