I was wnodering if anybody out there has a 243 wssm from d-tech and uses ammo from Reed's. My new upper should arrive in a few days and I'd like to find out what to feed it. Mike says the 85, 87, and 95 grain Partition and v-max sold by Reed are reasonable and popular and all good, but that I ought to see what others think that own the upper. I'm also thinking at least somewhat fur friendly. I realize it's not a .204 but I have been able to get some hand loads for my 243 in 700 Rem to the point of having quarter sized exit wounds- I can live with that. Any thoughts?

I have a Olympic 243WSSM Upper I have been useing for a bit over a year, I have shot a lot of Reeds 87 grn Vmax through it so far no complaints, one yote yeplped when it hit but then laid right down like a good dead dog. Compaired to the 308 and 30-06 125 grn TNT loads I used to shoot yotes with these are real fur friendly

I bought the complete rifle from dtech in the 243 wssm and I handload. I'm shooting the 85gr sierra gameking with 48 grains of H4350 and rem 9 1/2 primers running 3400 fps. It shoots 1/2" groups at 100 yds.Believe me,the yotes go bangflop.Sometimes they make a big exit hole and sometimes they dont.Just depends on where you hit them.I love this rifle and wouldnt trade it for nothing.
