Natchez was selling the 5.56 Lake City brass for $120.00 for 1,000 brass back in 2011. I ended up ordering 3 boxes of it because it fire formed great in my 223AI.
The new Lake City brass I got is some really good stuff!
I ordered a 1000, thanks for the tip. Cost me the same for 500 back in 13’. I called them yesterday and they told me they had a limited run last November as well that sold out right away. I haven’t seen virgin lc brass for sale for close to 6 years.
I still have 500 of the last run I got my hands on marked 13. My 14.5” barrel POF P415 shoots .3” 200 yard groups with them loaded with 60 grain vmax and 25 grains of benchmark. Good stuff! Problem you’ll see is when this run is gone they won’t kick unprocessed lc brass out for another 5 to 6 years again.
Ordered 1k for the shelf. I have been using wolf I bought back during the last scare, but for a new AI this will be perfect. Gonna be a while before I need it but thanks for the heads up!!
Mine showed today. A box within a box. Midsouth has common sense when shipping, I’ll give them that. I just wish they were sealed in 250 count separate bags as I thought I read somewhere. Anyways they arrived in excellent shape and I couldn’t believe ups didn’t damage the box for once! Win win all the way around! I might have to order another box since the stuff normally goes for 5 times the price after it runs out. I wish I could buy a warehouse full and hoard it. In a few years I could retire with the proceeds if it increases in value like the past.lol now if I only bought a warehouse full of $69 SKSs back in 90’.
Yeah I don’t plan on loading mine for a while so maybe I’ll vacuum seal them down in 100 to 200 count bags. I’m just happy to get my hands on some unprocessed lake city brass it’s only been six years since they put it out last!
I also ordered 1000 recently, & mine came in 4/ 250 round bags also. I probably already had plenty of 223 brass on hand, But, couldn't resist!!!!! Ha Ha Idaho 45-5R
