New leupold spotting scopes, $200.

I'm not in the market but WOOT updates me nightly (at 11pm my phone goes off because I haven't found how to make it stop).

Anyways todays Woot is a new "Leupold Ventana SX-1 15-45x60mm" for $199+5s/h.

I don't know if its a good deal or not, but if it is and you're shopping for one, woot.com.

But, if it aint a Gold Ring it aint a "real" Leupold.

Checked swfa.com and that Leupold is listed as the same thing as on woot. I've never dealt with woot so I don't know if your receiving the same thing as in the picture. I tend to go with some of the well known sites first just due to trust. Good info though. Thanks

Agreed. But regardless of point of origin they carry the warranty.

I wasnt in the market but all day long the price kept bouncing in the back of my head.

ALL Leupolds have the gold ring??? Good to know... I thought I've scene some without??!! Black market ??? I know there were some going around... They were on PM... How is it that Leupold covers the BM scopes?????? Did I read that right??

What I'm getting at is.... The gold ring series of bino's and spotters are the best they make . The other Leupold series are cheaper and do not carry the gold ring.

The gold rings are made in the usa and their good line. They have less expensive lines (no gold ring) that are not necessarily made in the us. They also make redfield,1 line is made in the us, the other i think phillipines. I think the spotting scope here is made in china.

But as long as its a true loopy they are warrantied forever + 1 day, have good glass etc. even this line is advertised as fully multicoated optics, which as far as i know as good as it gets with coatings. There is also coated,multicoated, fully coated etc.

There area bunch of countefeits out there, the leupold webpage has some tips on spotting them. No warranty on them obviously.

No, I completely got it. Still wears a Leupold name tag. I was just informing that there was an item like that listed somewhere else. I noticed it didn't have a gold ring on it and I really don't care if it has a gold ring or not since I'm not buying it. Just trying to let another member know that it's listed somewhere else with the exact same name. Not a counterfeit, just a lesser quality Leupold. With that being said, the woot website listed it at a significantly less price than swfa.com that's why I said I would go with a vendor that I trust as opposed to one I never heard of when buying an item.

Im pretty sure the green ring leupolds dont have a lifetime warranty like gold ring.
I have a pair of yosimite green ring binocs and they are really nice though.
 
The gold rings are made in the usa and their good line..... You mean assembled in the USA. For what I'm been hearing they are buying parts from all over and assembling the product in the USA. But what can you do??????
 
The gold ring products are warranted to any owner period, first or fifty-first.
The green ring products are warranted to the original purchaser, it is not a transferable warranty. It is usually a lifetime, original owner warranty. I can't think of any exceptions offhand.
