What goes 'round, comes 'round...I guess. I was admiring a Winchester model 100 in .243 Win at Cabelas the other day. Dang thing worried me for a while and then followed me home. The model 100 made me do some mental comparasons with an AR (for yote and hog hunting). Both platforms shoot the .243, both can have the forend floated and trigger work done, both are semiautomatic and magazine rifles. The Model 100 has a strong one piece wood stock and is lighter than most AR's. It is a good looking (in a classic way) rifle as well.
This might be a fun project. Anyone have any experience or tips regarding the model 100. Thanks in advance.
