New sightmark wraith thermal

I ordered the new thermal from sightmark ,I know it's entry level ,but it'll be my 1st thermal and the reviews online have all been positive. It'll be here Monday, I'll probably play around with it in the neighborhood for a couple of nights then mount it on a pcp air gun for coons and feral cats , then mount it on a AR this fall for hogs , Christmas in July can't beat that . If I get the thermal bug and upgrade to a better unit I can always use the wraith for scanning.

Will do, should be here Monday, I've got some experience with NV mostly ATN digital, taken a few fox and a bunch of coons with pcp airguns and a few hogs with gen 3 NV ,so not a complete noob ,but new to thermal, more of a prepper than a hard-core hunter and can see where thermal would be a big advantage for security during SHTF scenarios.

Well, the wraith came two days early, lucky me, I was wore out from replacing my home AC unit , finally finished up about 8:30 and got the house cooled down , sat out on the back porch with the wraith at about 9:15 just barely dark , and wouldn't you know it a fox comes trotting up out of the creek bed , watched him for a few minutes, but my dog since he was there and barked and scared him off , I live in a lake front community and the lakes down 20 feet so I can ride my sxs for miles around the lake just to tired to last night , I'll put in a card for tonight and get some video.

I've already ordered the QD mount for the wraith I'll replace the factory one before I mount it on a rifle ,I've just been using it as a scanner for now , still haven't taken it down to the lake to scout the back at night yet can't seem to stay up late , need to take a noontime nap lol.

I still haven't taken the wraith out for a long review , just around my house and there's so much heat sink around the surrounding area that it tends to wash out the pics , did get to observe a couple of deer at about 70yrds but they were near buildings and a RV , used black hot to get the best image for that , once I go to the lake bed I should be able to get some better video, then try to upload here, but I've never tried to upload videos on the forum before so no garrentee.
