Lance Armstrong is a loser? You are out of your mind. You are real quick to throw stones ain't ya? That guy is a bad azz. He had testicular and brain cancer and is still around as a serious athlete. Have you done this Shayne? Do you think performance inhancing drugs make you superman? Do you know anything about what he took? Do you know anything other than picking apart people the media and jealous sht talkers have tried to discredit? This ain't the first time you have created threads just to bash on someone. You insecure or something? You like bad mouthing successful people, thinking it makes you look a little better? Lol... Lance armstrong a cancer survivor and professional athlete is a loser... Lol.
 
Wow I'm glad that its Lance Armstrong who is the loser there for a minute, I thought you were talking about Lance Crackers the orange an peanut butter ones..... I love those things.
 
Perhaps not a loser as much as a cheater. He ruined people's careers, sued people,lied and cover up his doping since mid 1990's. I was one of the last people to doubt him. But it's true he has admitted to it the evidence is rock solid. He's a cheater plain and simple. Yes his charity has done a lot of good for people no doubt.
 
$500 million to people with cancer... What have we done in the past 15 years? Here's the deal, or just how i feel... You do tons of good, but you only get recognized for when you fail to be perfect. I'm a Lance fan, thick or thin.
 
I've bought his books and followed the tour when he rode and stopped after his retirement. But he dug his own hole. And only he can fix it. People we forgive him someday. When George Hincapie came forward, that's when I knew it was over for Lance.
 
I haven't caught what types of performance enhancing drugs he was taking.

You can't take away from him what he's done and the kind of support he has offered to others though.

It may be that he felt he couldn't work through his physical ailments without something that helped. I have a tough time beating up on him though, it took balls (or a ball) to admit it rather than let the controversy run amok. No controversy left huh? It's too bad, he was a legend.

Does anyone know that the drugs didn't cause these two relatively rare cancers?
 
Let's face it,,,Lance Armstrong made a conscious decision somewhere along the line to take stuff to enhance his performance...That was wrong by most normal standards and then he repeatedly lied about what he had done, even when faced with irrefutable information from official sources...That's ethically and morally wrong...

The results of his performance and the story behind his life is certainly an inspiration to many and, in the end, has changed many lives in a positive manner...If he has changed even one life for the better, that's a good thing...

I have to question how many of us have never knowingly, or intentionally, done anything wrong in our lives that eventually caught up with us...I know that I'm no saint, but neither do I consider myself a villain...I refuse to judge others....
 
OldTurtle, Your last statement is on the mark. Many people are quick to judge someone but forget to look at their own past. I guess it is to get their mind off of something in their past. Hey folks let's try to look at the good someone has done, we have all made a bad judgement at one time or another, just some worse than others.

I don't think bad of him for being a cancer survivor.

It's all the lieing using illegal drugs, cheating and threatening people that I detest.
But, if that's your idea of a sports star and bad azz, then more power to you.

And no, I don't think anything woud make me superman. With my back broke in 2 places, I'm just happy I can walk. So, I guess I'm the loser because I don't lie and cheat to win, ad I'm ok with that!
