new to foxpro

Hello all, I recently bought a Patriot and I was thinking that maybe it had a call sequence already on it that I could use for coyotes like I had for a previous caller. I understand that I can go and pick the individual sounds I want and hit the button but would like to hit play and have a howl, couple mins blank, rabbit distress, couple mins blank, more rabbit, couple mins blank, etc etc etc. Is there a place I can get something like this pre-made? I don't mind paying for it as long as it is good. I did a search last night but never really found anything, just people saying to use a couple programs to make your own. Thanks for your help.

you are looking for a feature called fox cast. its usually not an option on entry level calls.

you might be able to buy a sequence from someone that is all compiled into one mp3

ok, so you can add mp3 files to the foxpro? I saw that they had their own file type and figured that that was the only type they had. Does anyone have any sequences that they have made that I could purchase?

buying, selling and trading MOST sounds is frowned upon being they are proprietary and copyrighted.

Varmint Al has a webpage and a downloadable program that allows you to create files out of MP3's like you are talking about. He also has free sounds to build you sequence with too.

good luck

I think some of his sounds are already a sequence like you're looking for.

ok, understandable on the copyrighted stuff. Is there a way to add foxpro sounds to a "string" with 2-3 minute silence in between so I only have to hit the play button once and it will play the whole sequence?

Page13 of the Patriot manual explains how to program sequences for your call. The Foxpro Patriot can hold up to 10 sequences.

thanks for pointing out the sequence programming option to me. I missed that in the manual. I will try that tonight and see how I like it.

I worked on a sequence over the weekend. I used Audacity to put them together. It really wasn't that bad to do. I started with greeting howls and did two sequences of them first and then on to cottontail, then snowshoe, then Jackrabbit. The whole time I was thinking that it would be nice if I could just hit the button and let it go, but now I am thinking differently. I am thinking I am only going to have the distress calls on the sequence and that way I can change up the howls to suit the conditions, ie. time of year and if I would happen to get a response I will need to be able to grab a different type of howl like a challenge. Does that sound like I am on the right track with this?
