Looking to see how you guys' setup your trucks for hunting. How do you keep your gear organized, how do you transport your equipment for easy and quiet access. I have a Toyota Tacoma with a cap. I placed 2 boards across the top of the bed rail and slid a sheet of plywood wrapped in outdoor carpet on top. This allows me to pop the glass on my cap without having to drop the tailgate to gain access to my tripod and call. I use a plastic ice fishing sled to transport the coyotes and keep them separate from anything else is in the bed. Guns are usually stowed across the backseat. When I get a change ill upload photos.

Check the bed floor in your truck. Had miles of caliche roads and my tonneau covered bed was always covered in dust. Finally discovered the corrugated floorboards of 2003 Chevy bed at front of bed were left unsealed to allow water drainage. Sealed that and put weather stripping around tailgate and problem went away.

Here is how I am set up.
I added 2 led flood lights to the front of my truck. Before I pull up to the spot I turn my headlights off and switch on the much dimmer flood lights. This keeps my headlights from sweeping the field but still gives me enough light to drive in.
I built a box to hold my rifles. The box has a 3/4 plywood top, 1/2 plywood bottom, solid oak sides and solid oak drawers with 1/2 plywood bottoms. The drawer glides on 3 High Density Polyethylene runners on the bottom and 1 runner on each drawer side. The drawers are lined with 1/2" high density foam with an additional 2" softer foam for the rifles to lay on.
In this photo you can also see the power block and small LED light bar that I added to the topper rail above the orange box on the right.
I added LED cube lights at the 2 rear corners of the rack. They are wired to the reverse lights so I can actually see when I back up. I put a protective shield around them so I won't knock them off if I back up into brush.
