Night Hunting Varmint Light

I just got a new Night Blaster 350 yard scope light. I have never used a scope light before. Any suggestions as how to use the scope light.

I plan on calling out of the back of my pickup, as usual, using a red filter light to spot varmints. After spotting varmints I plan on switching to scope light.

Suggestions from experienced scope light users will be appreciated.
