Night Vision range finders

Is anyone using gun mounted laser range finders?

I have used a Raptor and Radius but is their something else that is working for you.

Primarily looking at 400 yard shots with a EOTECH M2124LR clip on.

The only other option I am aware of is this. It isn't up to the standards of a Radius. However, since the radius is no longer made, there isn't really any good options I am aware of. It will range a coyote typically at around 300 or less. You can get readings out to 400-600 on larger objects. Like I said, not great, but for someone just wanting to know they are inside of 250 yards for instance, so they can hold dead on the coyote, it can work. I own one but don't bother using it as with enough time behind the scope, I can usually tell by size. However, for real long distance night hunting that technique doesn't work as well.

I have on too, it works ok but is limited. I mainly use it now when I get on stand to range some objects or wood lines so I have a general idea what the distance is, I don’t try to range a coyote or fox coming into the call. The other thing to note is the display is very bright and will light you up, another reason it’s off when the call is running.

I have one of the Laser Works models as well. The one I have can be mounted 3 different ways. I would say as Kirsch stated that it is good for 300 and under on animals. I've ranged buildings to 850 with it. Trees and such out to about 500. What it will do is help you get used to what animals look like at various ranges and weather conditions at night.

I have mine mounted on the forearm of my AR. I did have to use 3 pieces of window tint cut to fit the little screen to darken it enough for night use. You will also need some type of NV for accurate aiming of the laser which will show up in scopes like the Photon and other NV devices. In other words with a thermal scope you won't be able to see the laser and will need a separate NV device to get it sighted correctly.

I use mine to range objects in fields before I start the call mostly, but have ranged some coyotes that held up on me. Here is the link to the one I have. It works better than I expected for the price.

I would really like something like the Radius that doesn't weigh a full pound or cost $1000. Honestly this thing looks like an airsoft toy but it sounds like it does work, at least well enough to give a general range distance to a hillside or treeline.
The radius uses a visible laser for initial setup to align it with your scope, how do you set this one up to be fairly accurate?

I can't believe this is the only option available on the market with all the thermal scopes out there now.

Good link . ' I getting that', and I am MacGyver'ing a mount next to the pig saddle on the tripod head .
On the Tripod, It will be rugged enough for just ranging with visual using pvs14 or looking threw the rifle with clip-on .

.....thanks

ordered this morning and have amazon prime so it be here in couple days .

Have you by chance looked at the screen using a 720nm filter on your pvs14 ??? . for cooling down the bloom on the led screen ? . I continuously run 720's on the pvs14's .

also there are a lot of cheap larger size mm Diam. photo IR filters out there for sale . and maybe one of the frequency filter you could trim to fit the LRF screen for night and NV viewing .
.
