I have used the Buckmaster II but prefer the Nikon PROSTAFF 4-12 BDC. The PROSTAFF has a quick focus eye piece that makes sure whatever I am look at is perfectly focused. For younger eye's I doubt you woud have any issue at all, my 18 year old doesn't. I love being able to dial in my rifle scope and ammo with Spot On as well to get the best possible longrange accuracy I can. I have used Spot On to hit soda cans at 600 yards and just a few weeks ago my son hit a 4 inch jar of tannerite at 400 yards. Certainly good enough for deer/predator hunting. I also have the PROSTAFF 4-12 on my Father In-Laws rifle and he loves it. Took a while to teach him how to use the BDC reticle but that's just because he was 78 and deaf. Now at 82 it's almost second nature. I know Nikon has some sales going on right now so perhaps you can save some $ too.
Drop me a note if you have any question's .
