Nikon XL spotting scope

That's the only spotter I used for many years. However, I sold it to move up to an 80 mm spotter.
No flies on the XL at all. In fact, it is far more portable than the larger objective models. Mine functioned flawlessly.
I had the combo with the small tripod and carrying case.
Good resale too as I sold it for about 80% of what I paid for it. I kept it in perfect condition.

Several years ago I bought a cheap Burris spotter and I got what I paid for. I can't see 17 caliber bullet holes at 100 yds. 20 caliber are only borderline.

How does your Nikon do?

I suspect I'll have to move up to a Swaro, Leica or Zeiss to get what I want. Oh, but the price tags on hose things.

???

Zen-Ray has a new spotting scope in the works that will be out hopefully by the end of sept. If you know how good their binoculars are and how reasonable they cost, this new spotting scope will be worth the wait. Unfortunately i can't give out the details here but i think for those on a Vortex Razor Spotting scope type budget that want even more for less, your going to be extremely happy once it hits the market!
