NiteLite Headlamp Question?????

Ok gentlemen my headlamp just arrived from huntsmart.com
I purchased the Coon Hunters Favorite II 6 volt package. It says to charge the battery before use, my question is pertaining to the charger. When I plug the charger into the wall the red light on it goes on, as soon as I plug the charger into the battery the light goes out. Will the red light come on when the battery is fully charged? Or is it supposed to be off? There is no information about this in the instructions., for that matter there are very little instructions that came with it.
Last question. How does the cable that runs from the light to the battery case come disconnected? I was tugging on it just alittle and wasn't sure if it snaps in or is there something to depress to remove it from the battery housing. Please forgive my ignorance in these matters. The red light will come on when the battery is fully charged. As far as the cable question goes I'm not sure but the last time i had the cap off it looked like a tab needed to be depressed to remove cable. Good luck with it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

as far as the cord some diconnect some dont if there will be some sort of splice if they do if the cord runs solid from batt to lamp you are s.o.l.
i got 3 of them and they all work great and batt life to
if you let them go compleatly dead before recharging

Charged up the battery and snow camoed up the hat. Light works pretty good. I was hoping to get alittle more distance out of it but it will definitely work for hunting fox. For coyote I'll still use my Lightforce Walkabout.
