Due to the normal clerk being on an extra day off and the manager being 15 minutes late returning from her lunch break, I had to wait to make the purchase...
I ordered four pounds of the 39gr and "since they look so bad", and we had to wait in the sun, the manager upped it to 5.5 pounds for the price of four..($74.98) and I ordered one pound of the 50gr and she upped it to 1.5 pounds..($14.95)
When computed out to 7000 grains = 1 lb, that gives me 210 bullets in the 50gr and 987 bullets in the 39gr..When I looked up the retail for #1 quality at Graf & Sons, that's $124.98 for 600 rounds (500 of 39gr & 100 of 50gr) and I wound up with 1197 rounds for $94.xx, including tax..
I spread out the 50gr bullets when I got home this evening and started culling out the obviously "bad" rounds on a quick skim and moved them to the right in the pic below..Not really a bad percentage, and they will still shoot pretty well when I break off, or pull, the ones that are in backwards..

Next is a closer shot of the "bad" ones that will need a little attention.. You can see that some have the tip in upside down and some are just extremely short (will shoot fine)

The next is what the 39gr look like, but I haven't taken time to skim through them yet, but it appears that the ratio of culls will be quite a bit lower than the 50s..

Somehow the date stamp on my camera got screwed up..
what a score! I need some 39gr .204 bullets rp
