nuisence trapping

The farmers are letting me trap groundhogs.

This one farmer says I could trap the groundhogs and he says they are on a fence line.
Well I didn't see no holes, but a barb wire fence and some trails going through tall grass. I set 3 traps. I then thought about what other animals I might caught.
I can only pray I dont catch a cat. What about raccoons..possums...skunks...rabbits?
If I accidently catch one what should I do with it? Go ahead and keep the animal?

Theres thorns and heavy brush so I can't get past the fence and can't find any holes.Other wise I'd set the traps inside the holes...

what should I do?

p.s.

ok, I made my own release pole so I'll beable to release non targeted animals.

Still dont know what to do if I catch a skunk though.

Kill it. If you catch them in a live trap, put a blanket over the trap and take it to a pond and throw it in the deep water. If in a leg hold, use a hypedermic needle with acetone on a long piece of conduit and inject the skunk to kill it.

AHHHHHHHHHH! I accidently did catch a skunk!!!

I set a trap for a gorundhog and ended up catching a skunk!!!!!

Ended up shooting it in the lungs with a 22 handgun at 10 yards.
I 'll was shaking so bad it must have took me a minute to get close enough to shoot for fear of being sprayed. I pulled the trigger and missed, the skunk looked up at me and and started digging again. Shot again and hit him in the lungs. DIDN'T GET SPRAYED!!!

I didn't feel like waisting the pelt so I now I have him skinned out and on a homemade plywood stretcher. Still have to get some tanning solution.
Still wish I wouldn't have caught him.
