# of rounds in clips in colorado

hey colorado hunters and varmiters. What is the magazine capacity while hunting preadators and small game. IE: while hunting with my AR15. I know the capacity is 6 rds for big game hunting, 5 in clip and one in the tube. But the Colorado small game handbook does not specify as to how many rds you can have while small game hunting. Is it the same, no more then 5 + 1 for rifles? I know what it is for shotgunning.

thanks

Not sure cuz I load my .22 semi with 15 shells but and ar-15 dont know if they would make the 5+1 rule for it.

If your hunting regulations doesn't specify, then there isn't a limit. IE, in South Dakota the hunting regs specify that when hunting for any big game the rifle magazine capacity is a total of six rounds in the weapon at any given time. When you read the regs on hunting predators and varmints, there simply isn't any mention of the issue. I emailed the state just to make sure, but they confirmed the fact.

I'm sure Colorado is the same, but you should be able to find that info on the state website. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
