Offset scope w/ iron sights?

So I want to mount my scope to one of those offset picanny 45 degree mounts, then I can add iron sights to the gun as well. When Im hunting coyotes theres alot of times that they come into around 30 yards out of nowhere, figure it out and start running. Im running a 3-9 scope and when there close like that its hard for me to pick them up and stay with them. So I was thinking iron sights would be trick for close incounters of the fury kind! Ive done those offset mounts on my old 94' and it worked good, I was just wondering if anyone else has done something similar. Ive thought about a red dot scope, but I like the magnification of the scope for the desert. Accuracy issues with this setup? I think it would work great, but maybe you guys can line me out.

I would much rather run a scope in the standard vertical position and put irons on a 45 degree mount if it was me. You can buy a set of sights with front and rear on the same piece that mount that way from Brownells. Might take abit but I'll find it.

You are going about it all wrong. Ditch the irons, run your scope on top like it is supposed to mounted then put a Fast Fire Dot sight on the side of your scope tube. You simply cant the rifle slightly and you have your dot sight for fast action. It's much easier then mounting the scope off to the side.

Or go to the Burris 1.5-5 Tactical illuminated scope which makes life real easy, it's all in one.

Ah....I like your guys ideas. Yeah, Im thinking I like the iron sights offset, you say brownells carries them. Ill check too, thanks guys.

So I found alot of different sights, but Im have a hard time figuring out which ones to get. I think I would like the all steel kind, can you suggest some good ones that would mount on those 45 degree mounts? I can mount a offset mount in front of the forearm and one on top of the reciever between the scope mounts.

Use a low power scope like the Burris 14XTR (1-4x) or the DMS 1-4x mounted on quality quick release mounts over back up flip up irons.
Learn to shoot with both eyes open (to improve your field of vision especially on tracking moving targets)while using the low power scopes and you'll never need those irons unless your scope fails. Then it's just a flip of the throw levers and you've got your irons.
Also, the mounting of micro red dot optics offset directly on your main optic is popular these days but I find it rather ridiculous and unneccesary for a field use weapon especially when you have low power scopes with either a built in red dot or illum. crosshairs. Trendy at best.
