One Ragged Hole sights

Any of you use These and how do you like them? I just installed them on my Super Blackhawk hunter. The weather is too nasty to go and sight them in but I like the sight picture. I plan on taking up handgun hunting for awhile. My shots on deer have all been within handgun range and with the thick woods here I think this setup is going to work out good. What do you guys think?

I've used peeps on a rifle and liked them. Never even thought about them on a pistol before. I like the idea and they look nice. Let us know how it shoots.

Looks good.
I just took a 2X scope off my Super Redhawk and may try the "One Ragged" sight.
What do you have on the front sight ?
Thanks.

Whoa .......!

That's me about three years ago!!!

I put the ORH on my rear sight on a SRH and it's never been changed since ......

Then I tried the glow sticks like you got on your SBH ...... I also liked the green the best!

But for the duration .... I have used the Ruger gold bead painted black ........ shot an 'ote with it too ......

I will say this: You want to practice with it .... it's too easy to get wrapped up into micro managing a peep when you first try them ......

...... the trick is FORGET about the rear peep sight .... just concentrate on the FRONT ......

........ front sight ......... front sight ........ etc.

The rear peep will "take care of itself"

Now...... changing the rear blade ............

...... it's fun ...... LOL!

Just make sure you are in an environment where that little spring does not get lost!

I bought this through the Ruger online store Ruger® Redhawk HiViz® Sight, I have the Super Blackhawk Hunter, and the the two are interchangeable.

Three 44s, You are correct on how to use a peep that's why I bought this. I use a William's peep on my M94 and I love how fast it is. Ever since I served in the Army as an Infantry soldier I learned to love the peep sight. Just focus of the the top of the front post squeeze bang flop. For off hand shooting a prefer a peep over a scope, the scope drives me crazy trying to steady the cross hairs.

To put the rear sight in I backed out the windage screw all the way and removed it. Then pulled the factory rear sight out. I took an Allen wrench for my reloading dies and pushed it into the windage screw hole and pushed the spring all the way in, and then slid the Peep sight in pushing down on it as I slowly removed the Allen wrench, the sight slid right in and the spring engaged perfectly. Then just screw the windage screw back in.

Weather still stinks to sight it in.
