OneLeaf Mars Thermal... Do You Have Footage?

Hi All

I'm struggling to hold zero with my thermal clip on (Thermtec Hunt 335 using a Rusan adapter)

I think I may have found the problem where the dealer has given me a 58.4mm unit when the scope measures just on 58mm meaning the 58mm adapter is more suited (I am assuming that a .4mm size difference is important).

One of my considerations is scrapping the clip on and just getting a dedicated scope so that I can take adavantage of the LRF and ballistics calculator. I was looking at the Thermtec equivalent and came across the OneLeaf Mars 1000 unit.

I've watched a dozen reviews and they all seem very positive, and indicate I'm getting a lot more features without the price tag, but not many reviews have footage.

I wanted to know if anyone here is using one of these units, and if so, do you have any hunting footage you can link me to?

Cheers,

I'm speaking with the shop now but they don't think the adapter is the problem (apparently there is a .5mm leighway) and said it would be a warranty issue.

I don't have easy access to private land so I have to wait a few weeks just to test anything out or try any solutions. If I just get a dedicated thermal it takes away any of the guess work

Did you finish up resolving your problem with the clip on or did you change your thermal. I had experience with a clip on and even tried a better adapter than the factory issued one and never had any joy with accuracy so the model I had could also be used as a straight scope and ran that for a while but moved on to a Oneleaf Mars 1000 and couldn't be happier and have plenty of footage available if you want it.

I've been using the Mars MT1000 LRF for fox/predator hunting exclusively, and it's been working great. I've kept the clip-one for deer on my 30-06 but have only taken one shot (and one hit) in the last 6 months (been getting them during the day just fine). It might have something to do with saving the profile and changing the zero in the software.

I use a Rusan adapter for the clipon which is meant to be the premium one (I paid $260AUD for it).

I got the Rusan as well for my Hikmicro hoping to resolve the inconsistency to fit the 3 Zeiss 42mm scopes I had at the time. Couldn't got it to do the job and even tried leaving it fitted on the scope bell and attaching the thermal which you would have thought would be better but again disappointing.

Only ever heard one example of a clip on being very good being a Pulsar Krypton which are expensive for a unit that is only a clip on and not a scope.

The other thing that I didn't like was the balance that you loose with the clip on.

Have you got the quick release mount to utilize on the 30. 06 ?
