Just thought I would give you all a heads up that Operation Predator 3 is done and should be ready to distribute by early to mid June, putting it in most stores by early fall. Again we have Gerald Stewart, along with some footage of his dad Johnny calling in a pair.(Thanks Gerald) We also have Ed Wimberly doing what he loves to do in Pie Town NM.
29 hunts, 32 kills, alot of fun and a few misses thrown in for good measure. I hope you all enjoy watching it as we had fun making it and yes we already have op 4 in the works. Good luck this year. Al Morris with Hunters Specialties and Johnny Stewart wildlife calls.

I love watching Ed Wimberly. Of all calling and video guys out there he is on the top of my list for for all around coolest guy ever to shoot a yote. I first saw Ed in operation 1. Thought he was a cool cat. After seeing him in number 2, he got cooler... And three, hymm. I will admit that overall the Operation Predator videos are not the greatest, but he is way cool. In #2 there is a scene where one yote wraps all the way around, and Ed and the camera guy have to do Yoga manuvers to film the shot...

Is there a support group for Ed envy???? I might need help.

Thanks for the compliment Todd. The funniest stuff we did for this one will not make it into the video because I sang a song that is not in the library that HS has used for royalty music.

We were at a stand that Al jumped up and ran off (picture in your mind, Hoss from the Ponderosa running across the pasture with his rifle) to chase a coyote. He stops to shoot at the running coyote and misses. With the camera rolling, I turn to the camera and sing a short version of the Hee Haw classic 'Gloom Despair and agony on me....if it weren't for bad luck..." ending with a salutation of "Welcome to OP 3". The editor would not use it for legal reasons. It would have set the tone for the whole video and been one of the best opening's you could use for a video....in my humble opinion. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am anxious to see the final cut and Dammit Bamit, I am [beeep] that I have to find out that it is finished from the PM board....not from you or Nate....makes me feel like Rodney Dangerfield.......I never get no respect....take my wife...please!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Wait a minute Todd...you are too young to know who Hoss was.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

Hey you are supposed to get a copy to look over at anytime now, I just was so glad to get it done. And you forgot the best part of that story, I stopped running to shoot said coyote and blew the top wire of the fence in front of me clean in two. Missing the coyote while Gerald is singing. funny no doubt and for the record I said it should make it but the powers that be said no. I think all who see it will really like it mainly because of you and your dad. Thanks Gerald, I will holler at Nate today to get a copy burned and off to you.
And Byron, no new secrets, just old tried and true ones, and sound combos Gerald turned me on too. Thanks Todd, holler hey to Jeff for me and talk to you boys soon. Al.

Gerald,

Hey I watched that show all the time growing up. Wasnt Hoss Bo and Lukes half cousin. Was he in the scene were Boss Hog yelled at Roscoe, then dumped over his big bucket of chicken? Uncle Jesse you got your ears on? Whoa, Daisy aint got nuthin on! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh wrong show! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif dangit. That last line does bring back a childhood fantasy though.

Sorry bout the scene you discribed not making the cut. It does sound very funny and I would like to see it someday.

At least you didnt call us the twins again(Pssst, Jeffs the pudgy one /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Take care,

Todd

Great news, guys!! I've collected close to 30 predator calling videos and DVD's over the years, and OP1 is still my all time favorite!!! It has great scenery, knowledgeable, down-to-earth pro shooters, terrific camerawork (being able to see the bullet path from rifle to coyote still amazes me), and very professional editing. Ed and Gerald taught me a dozen tricks without being "instructive". Can't wait to see #3.
