Opinions- Tasco Varmint Rifle Scope 2.5-10x 42mm ?

I have an older World Class on my 6.5x06 right now that was on my 25-06 for a long time befor that, it works fine. But, befor the World Class I had an inexpensive Tasco on that 25-06, shot it to pices in one summer. With the price of decent scope today, I would not buy another Tasco! But with the recoil of a 223, I'd bet it would work alright.

If you can add another $50-75, I'd buy a Nikon prostaff 2-7. At least it'll have life time warranty if it decided to quit. That way your not out $55+ shipping on this scope.

If you can't, the above Tasco will work.

I've had some pretty good Tascos in the past 20 to 30 years ago.

They get bashed alot by people that don't own them.

It doesn't have the best glass or coatings but neither do my old Elpaso Weavers and they still work fine.

The scope your looking at has a life time warrenty.

If it is all you can afford now go for it at least you'll be shooting not wishing and you'll have some trading stock if you ever want to upgrade.

In my opinion Tasco scopes are junk. I will never buy another one and that being said I have wasted my money on several of them in the past because it was all I thought I could afford at the time. Never again.
Save a little more cash and try a new Redfield, they are not as good as Leupold but for the money they are a fantastic scope with Leupolds lifetime warranty.
I have had great luck finding deals on premium used optics as well, (just another option).
Just like everything else, there is no free lunch, you get what you pay for and that most certainly applies to rifle scopes.

I have this scope on my 22 BV and like it very much. It gets me out to 100 yards and the mil dots are fun to work with. The AO is also a nice feature. Haven't shot a bunch with it yet so time will tell. The R Rev was not out at the time or I may have ended up with it. However, there is no parallax correction on the RR 3-9.
