pa fox season results

As far as numbers terrible. 2 greys and 1 coyote. 1 grey crippled, and a bunch missed. But had a great time doing it. I have only hunted fox 2 times since Christmas been hunting coyotes. There is always next year, gonna put the Johnny Stewart up for sale and get me one of those new fangled Fox Pros.

Just got back into predator hunting bout a month ago. I havent done it since my teenage years. My oldest son who just turned 12 right after deer season wanted to do it so here I am /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Since fox season was close to being over we dint even try for them. Been Yote huntin and getting very very close to gettin our first 1. Every weekend we're out. So, for us 0 fox 0 yotes but lots of fun and quality time spent together.
Next year we'll be going after em all and he'll be able to shoot this time. So my plans for next fall: archery hunt till dark then break out the caller.

hey varmit nut good choice on the fox pro we have had one for years now, another buddy of mine ust bought one from foxpro it was a reconditioned one 16 calls i think for $180, i have the 8 sounds with the remote. I am heading out tommorow night for all night trip with the fresh snow and nearly full moon i wont need a light at all. fox pro is by far the best caller on the market and very easy to change sounds, it takes a beating too we have dropped it a couple times, word of caution, take batteries out when flying it turned on one trip in a cooler we had brought we had some mighty strange looks claiming the luggage with a dieing rabbit screaming. good luck

well killed a gray his year. It was about my 3rd time out and it kinda spoiled me. cause he came in so fast I thought it would allways be that fast. any how I guess now I will have to hunt whistle pigs. seen the first road kill the other day. I guess I will have to go to the range and try out some long range shooting.

4 greys, 2 raccoons, 2 possum, wounded a grey w/.17 and lost it, shot a grey with 12 ga. the last night, lost it in the brush, dad missed a whole lot... of course i only missed a couple

we knicked the only coyote we saw, mostly cause the gun was 6 inch off both ways..

had a great season, called in well over 30 fox some deer , and some owls. and a lil black kitty, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I just started the night hunting this year. I got a Preymaster call for Christmas. Since then I missed 2 grays in one night. I also missed one red. I got a red dot scope for on my shotgun and went out a couple of times. I got 1 gray fox in and I got him. I had other fox in but couldnt get shots, they were too far away. So I only got 1 fox this year, but I don't care how many I got, I had a great time going out by myself and a couple of times with my dad. I seen some pretty neat stuff too. I had some deer come in to the call. One night last week me and my dad ran into a skunk going back to the truck, luckily we didnt get sprayed, but we were like 10 feet from it. The last night I was out I had 2 owls come in and land in a tree right above me. So it was a great time fox hunting for me.

Six grey fox total, one shot in front of our beagles.Never spotted a red, very frustrared by coyotes. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

timberjack you sound like a young hunter, but very smart one too, i enjoy fox season more then any other in PA., its awsome. i almost had a coyote last week, howling at night, but the wind screwed me, he was coming before that , only action all night.
