Painting polymer lower ?

Has anyone painted (Duracoat/Krylon/Cerakote/Alumahyde/Hydrodip/etc.) a Plum Crazy or New Frontier Armory polymer lower? My stepbrother wants to order one for a cheap beater range gun, but wants to color it OD green and wondering what would work best. Thanks for any suggestions!

Krylon with fusion should work fine, but make sure its ultra flat, you don't want a "glossy" finish. I've used this on many synthetic stocks with no problems.

This is wisdom

Protip: Use some Fusion primer before the OD. The Fusion paint is phenomenal at covering and bonding to plastic, but nothing will stop the black from "showing" through the finish, making the OD look crazy-dark. Otherwise, you're golden.

Thanks guys. The only problem might be color matching. Or could I do the fusion primer then use regular krylon such as the camo colors? That should work wouldn't it, since it already has the fusion base?

Edit: Nevermind, I see they have camo paint with fusion technology.

Still use a light-colored primer, to get a more accurate color match. If you use spray paint--even Fusion--over the black polymer, the color will come out MUCH darker than expected. Have fun in any case
