Hey man, the thing about snakes is if you see 'em you can avoid 'em, if you don't see 'em
they might bite you.....some rat shot is a good idea to carry, she needs to know how to work
the gun in any fashion load, unload, disassemble, reassemble, clean, or whatever it takes.
I will tell you this we had a copperhead infestation a few years ago during their breeding
season killed 7 within 2 weeks, I shot 1 with some brake cleaner that thing went plum
crazy striking at everthing as fast as he could. I cut his head off with a hoe......I'd
say pepper spray would have a simmilar effect......
Friend. If it were my wife I'd make her learn to shoot lefty if need be....and carry at least a
.357 or larger I think she could hit a bear if it were 4 feet from her even without some
practic, after all you may have only one chance in a life time to do this, Try not to let
it be the last thing you do.....practic drawing it and firing at a 12" circle at 6 feet
over and over untill it's natural, use .38s as to reduce recoil, carry mags in it and
hope she never has to draw it.....use hammerless so it dont hang up.
My wife is a natural at drawing and firing a gun, and she loves to shoot, she shot a 243 on her
last qualifying round, I'm so proud, and I sleep a little easier every night......I gave her
a 9mm on her birthday she teared up from joy.....Now that's my kinda woman.
Good luck too you and yours.......
