The steps you listed was what I’ve posted to download files for the iPhone where this post was for Bering’s official app for Android,

InfiRay Outdoors also has an iPhone and Android app some users have began to use. Both InfiRay and Bering devices have iRay sensors in them and the app appears to work reasonably well with the Super Hogster and Phenom. I have been warning people to be very careful using it, but Bering doesn’t seem too concerned. They do say use at your own risk. There is a firmware update option in the app. DO NOT DO THIS as the firmware is different. Bering does not plan to provide firmware updates in their app.

Here is where it gets a little interesting. If you use the InfiRay Outdoors app, and choose to record via your phone, you have an option to turn the microphone on in the app. The app uses the microphone of the device, while recording for those that want audio with your Super Hogster or Phenom. I have no idea if the video quality is as good, and again this is not a Bering app, so use at your own risk, but kind of neat. It worked on my iPhone but did not on my Android tablet. It bumped me out of the app, and the recording became damaged on the Android. I don't have an Android phone to test.

Bering is looking at releasing an iPhone app this year  but I don’t believe they plan on it including all the features of the Android version.
