Check and see what people are asking for them on gumsamerica and gunbroker. Not saying its worth what people are asking but you can get the idea. I think some are listed there for sale in the mid to high three hundreds. I had to check after you bought yours since I have shot one back in the early 80's and loved it.

Savage 340
Checkering on the stocks began after 1965, so yours was made post 1965.
It is the same rifle as a Stevens 325. It was built as an economy rifle, but they seem to be gaining in popularity and price. The carbine is the model 340C and will have a 20" barrel instead of the 22-24".

Book values have not caught up listing them at $175 for a Pre-65, $160 for a standard and $185 for the carbine (20")
