Here is a picture of 2 critters called in near Van Buren Maine.

This is the largest yote I have killed (46 pounds). Had only had 3 1/2legs. His right front leg was a nub.

This is a big red that dad and I called in on New Years day. I think he weighed 43#

Here is a nice prime male that was shot at 220yards. I didn't know he was there until I got up to leave and then he started down across the field. I lip squeaked and he stopped, big mistake.

I will post more when I get a chance, hope you enjoy them.

Those look as if they've been eating small cows to grow that big. I must say that the folks that think that western coyotes and eastern coyotes are one in the same are not in the east to see these monsters we have. They get the benefit of seeing more, though.

Sum nice lookin' dawgs there MK!Is that a ruger your poppin' em with? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

All of those critters were taken in Aroostook county over open fields and frozen water bodies. There are no blueberry fields only tater, hay and other ag products. I just had success this weekend over the first blueberry field I have ever called over.

I know guys that swear a coyote won't cross an open field in Downeast Maine but they will it just shouldn't be too big.

Last winter(up north)Pop and I called in 4 coyotes in one pack and the leader of the bunch was 200 yards out in and open field before he felt the 55 grain BT hit him in the lungs. Foxes up north will venture out in any open ground.
