pig pipe ?????

5/8 holes are what I used and started with 4 holes. First two holes about 6 inches from the end of pipe opposite of each other , move down the pipe with the other two holes about 6 inches 90 degrees from the first two. may have to duct tape two of the holes when the hogs get use to it.

How often will you be able to check it? I only put one hole in my hog barrels or pig pipes now. Forces the hogs to work for it and they last much longer.

I think you could skip the step of putting a false bottom in and just put some gravel in the pipe that is bigger than the holes.

If you are able to check it every few days the pvc pipes work well. If you check every couple of weeks I advise making the hog roll barrel using a 30 or 55 gallon barrel with one hole. Another thing you can do is hook a cow bell to the barrel so you can hear them pushing it. If you by another cow bell you can ring it when you are close it works like Pavlov's dog experiment.

I will check the pipe at least once a day. the hogs are here about once a week. hope this will keep them around. thanks for the help. will let you know how it works.
