Pistol brass...do you uniform or clean primer pockets?

im brand new to reloading pistols. i have reloaded rifle for a long time and always primer pocket uniform, flash hole deburr and clean primer pockets every time. i will be loading for semi auto pistols in 9mm, and 45acp, and revolvers in 357 and 44 magnums that will basically just be used for plinking and target shooting at the range.

Just doing a little poll here, Does anybody primer pocket uniform, flash hole deburr and clean primer pockets on pistol brass? or are all 3 steps a waste of time for reloading handguns?
 
I reload for 9mm and .45. I'll usually decap/resize and then tumble for a litlle bit longer and that cleans out the primer pocket and keeps me from having to do any additional work.
 
Also does anybody trim their 9mm or 45 acp autoloader brass? Like not even when brand new or once fired brass just to uniform it. Im kinda getting the vibe that nobody trims those calibers..ever. Revolvers seem to be trimmed every time to get a consistant crimp?
 

I load 380 Auto, 9mmx19, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, and 10mm Auto.

Call me anal retentive, but I chuck up a primer pocket
brush in a drill, and scrub the primer pockets clean.
This weekend I re-sized, inspected, checked for length
 
If you load large quantities of pistol I think you would get VERY tired of doing this everytime. I don't really see a pistol such as a 9mm or .45 as a precision shooting caliber and therefore don't think going to that extent is necessary.

If you want to do it then go for it, however.
 
I deprime my .45acp and tumble for a while then hit the primer pockets with a 443 brush in my dremel. Just to make sure they are extra clean. Dont want any extra mess for my beloved 1911. I dont do it for any of my other pistol calibers.
 
I never have, not even one time. I throw them in a tumbler and come back in an hour and start loading them. I have done it that way forever.
 
I reload for 45auto, 40S&W and 357. For my semi's I don't even makes sure all of the cases are the same headstamp. I don't do anything to the primer pockets ever. If you are messing with the primer pocket for accuracy's sake, I suggest you try shooting a few groups both ways. I highly doubt you will see a difference.
