Pistol Scope

For most applications,,i view handguns+scopes...Like ashtrays+motorcycles...due to the fact that arm length FOV is small or crappy or both.

Red dots, holographic reflexes, speed dots,,fit the bill on 22's the best IMO...and less weight.

Unless you are doing long range precision 22 shooting of some kind, from a bench.

GNW,
I have dot scopes, fixed power LER's, variable LER's, and aI also use riflescopes on some of my handguns.
It all depends on the type of handgun and the applications you will be using them for.

LER scopes take time to develop the skill of quickly finding the correct amount of eye relief to get a full FOV and then developing the ability to do that on a target.
It takes more time to develop it than it does with a rifle scope.

With lower powers 4x on down you should be able to keep both eyes open, which will help a lot in field shooting.
