hi i'm looking for a little help on a pistol scope for my ruger 22/45 and single six.my eyes aren't what they use to be and with star vision red dots are out.the main use would be plinking and small game hunting when i'm scouting.25-30 yards with a $350 limit.i never used a scope on a handgun so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Personally with handguns I prefer lower magnification scopes in a fixed power variety...Leupold makes an excellent 2X pistol scope that falls in the budget and will hold zero regardless of what you decide to mount it on later on down the road

+1 with dixie dog. I want fixed power on most of my hunting scopes. 2x should be plenty for your application. I really like the burris handgun scopes. Mine have taken a beating. Leupold, Bushnell elites, and Simmons pro hunters are all good quality handgun scopes. Look at the ssk website at the guns with simmons scopes. If they didn't work I don't think JD Jones would use them.

thanks guys i just ordered the burris ler.i'm going to try it on both guns and pick up another if it works out.thanks again very much appreciated.
