Anyone ever dipped or sprayed their handguard with a rubber coating?

Was dipping some tools and thought.."hmmmmmm"

Might give it a try.

Other colors, sizes, brands etc available. Guys are using it on pistols for grip tape, etc.

I put on a section of larger diameter shrink tube used for underground cable splices on my RRA free float hand guard last winter because it was too cold and really liked the feel of it and just left it on. It's a lot like a Hogue over mold feeling to it.

If your hand guard is too cold, you are not shooting enough. LOL

Both are plastdip base and swirly camo on top. Worst case you hate it and it takes 5 minutes to remove.
