Plum Crazy Lower

I,m in the process of finding parts for a new " BLACK RIFLE" and was wanting to know if any of you guys have had any experience with the Plum Crazy lowers, I do like the fact that it is lightweight and very resilient to scratches and general use; but not so sure about how strong the plastic threads would be where the barrel goes? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

You're fine for the location...I'm not sure about your reference to the "Threads" as the lower only supports an assembled upper...and the upper receiver holds the barrel...

I have one that I used to build an extremely cheap AR and it shoots better than it should...

I bought the lower and got an upper from JSE Surplus during a 'special' they had going... installed a used 2.8-10x scope that I found in a pawn shop for $50 and have a total of $524 invested in the whole rifle... It produces less than one inch groups at 100 yards with most ammo...

The upper fits exceptionally tight on the lower and doesn't present any of the 'slop' you normally hear about with other ARs...

This is a 50 yard, seventeen round rapid fire target group that I shot while breaking in the trigger group after I first put it together

Since the trigger group is 'plastic' as well, it requires some breaking in when you first get it... after the first 100 rounds, it smooths out very nicely...

I thought Plum Crazy could have made things a little stronger by going with a shallow radius here and there, instead of steps at transitions.

They work, got two guys running them at our range, but I am a bit concerned with their longevity, or klutz meets Mr. Gravity resistance.

The guys I know who got them weren't going to be running tons of rounds through them, purchased them for a cheap toss in the closet for a rainy zombie day kinda thing.
